TriLink R&D Achievement

TriLink Awarded Phase I Grant for a Second Hot Start PCR Project

TriLink has been awarded a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I grant. In these studies, TriLink will investigate its second novel approach for Hot Start activation in PCR. This approach, which employs chemically-modified triphosphates to inhibit DNA polymerase activity until a thermal activation step, has already showed significant promise in the reduction of off-target amplification products in PCR. Proposed experimentation includes optimization of the Hot Start effect and further investigation in its benchtop applications. For more information please feel free to contact us.

Technology Spotlight: 2' Fluoro NTPs

2’ Fluoro nucleoside triphosphates are excellent substrates for both DNA and RNA polymerases, including the widely used T7 RNA polymerase. The resulting modified transcripts have increased chemical stability and nuclease resistance. Other applications include PCR and reverse transcriptase based assays.

TriLink offers a full selection of 2' Fluoro NTP products; see Featured Product below. As with all of our modified nucleotides, they are guaranteed >90% pure.
